Amps Part 1
Amps
I have been playing Fender amps forever. I do have some others that see ocassional use.
Above: 1969 Fender Dual Showman Reverb. I was told it was a 69; I think it is a 71-72. It was modded by Bill Nance of Bilco Amplification.
On the left is a 1965 Fender Showman with a 1x15 tone ring cab. They have been re-telexed in blonde with gold grills (like the 1963s). Next is my 1966 Fender Vibro Champ. I had custom cabs made for it. The 2x10 speaker cab has a pair of Ted Weber speakers. These cabs are also done in blonde tolex with gold grills. On the right is my Fender 2x15 cab I use with the Dual Showman Reverb. Sitting on the 2x15 cab is my 1961 Fender reverb unit.
Below: Fender 59 Bassman Reissue
This is an early 90s Fender 59 Bassman Reissue. Sitting on top is a Fender 1963 Reverb Reissue.
Below: 1972 Fender Twin Reverb
1972 Fender Twin Reverb. It is a silver face Fender Twin. This thing has tons of clean head room.
Peeking over the top is my Traynor Custom Valve 40.
Below: 1966 Fender Vibro Champ (before)
Above is a 1966 Fender Vibro Champ. In my never ending serve for the ideal home amp, I picked up this vintage black face Fender amp. It sounds very good. But when I plug it into my 2x15 cab loaded with JBLs it sounds amazing. I am making a 2x10 cab loaded with Ted Weber speakers to go along with this amp.
Below: 1966 Fender Vibro Champ (after)
This is the 66 Fender Vibro Champ after I moved it into the custom built head cab. Beaver Bottoms Cabs built these for me. Bob did a great job of creating a set of cabs that look like they were made by Fender.
Below: Fender Champion 600 Reissue
Fender Champion 600 reissue. When I was a kid, I hated the little brown box. I have come to really like its clean Fender tone. I have vintage Rayethon tubes in this. I swapped out the stock speaker and replaced it with a 6 inch Ted Weber Signature speaker. That made a big improvement in its sound.
