Vintage Guitars (1979 and earlier)

Below is my 1963 Harmony Bobkat

This is the first electric guitar that I bought new. Brand spaking new. That was a big deal. I bougth this mail order through the Aldens catalog. Harmony made their Bobkat series in a red burst with a Holiday logo for Aldens. It does have a wonderful pickup. It has a DeArmond gold foil pickup.

Below: Another 1979 Fender Stratocaster

This is a 1979 Fender Stratocaster.  The body has an old (professional) refinish. The pickups appear to be from an late 80s or early 90s Fender American Standard.  The body was altered to accomodate the Kahler 7300 tremolo bridge.  This is a nice playing guitar. Compared to my other 79 Strat, it weighs slightly less. But it still has enough heft to it for good tone and sustain. Well, as good sustain as you can hope to get with any Stratocaster.

A 1979 Fender Stratocaster in wine red. Was modified to accept a Kahler bridge in the 80s and then modified back to the original type bridge.

My first car was like this one. I bought a 1966 Chevy II Super Sport in the summer of 66. It was marina blue. Great car.

I use this picture as a space filler often.  It was taken many years ago. I wish I still looked that young
